Not all disputes require parties to formalise their positions, brief counsel or file court or arbitral proceedings. 

Often tense situations or issues can be resolved through early facilitation by an independent professional working with each of the parties. 

The aim should be to resolve the issue, to avoid public exposure, and avoid engaging in time consuming and expensive processes.
